Thank you for your interest in speaking at an MDCA event! We’re excited to have you share your knowledge and experiences with our vibrant community of developers, tech enthusiasts, and professionals. To ensure a smooth and impactful session, please review the following guidelines:

Before the Event

Proposal Submission

  • Provide a clear title, short session description, and key takeaways.
  • Include your bio, profile photo, and relevant links (LinkedIn, GitHub, etc.).

Presentation Readiness

  • Submit slides or demos at least 4 days prior for review.
  • Keep content focused on Microsoft technologies, best practices, or real-world applications.
  • Avoid heavy product promotion—educational value comes first.

During the Session

Timing

  • Respect the time slot provided (typically 45 minutes, including Q&A).
  • Keep introductions short—dive into the core content early.

Language & Delivery

  • Use simple and clear language. English is preferred.
  • Speak at a steady pace and maintain audience eye contact.

Dress Code

  • Please wear smart casuals or business casuals.
  • Branded company T-shirts are welcome if appropriate.
  • Avoid overly casual attire like shorts, flip-flops, or tank tops.

Technical Setup

Equipment

  • Bring your laptop and adapters (HDMI recommended).
  • We provide a projector, mic, and speaker—do a tech check before your session.

Backup

  • Have your presentation on a USB drive or in the cloud in case of technical issues.

Community Spirit

  • Be open to feedback and follow-up questions post-session.
  • Support fellow speakers and attend other sessions when possible.
  • Use the event hashtag and tag @MDCAAhmedbad when sharing on social media.
